About Our Role:

In this role, you'll work within the Transmission Operations Planning Section supporting all aspects of clerical, administration and purchasing for the department.

This includes preparation of regular reports, scorecard etc.

In addition, you will support the work programming of the Transmission Industrial staff in conjunction with the Scheduling & Planning Team.


What You'll Be Doing:

In this role, you'll have several key responsibilities including:

  • Providing a central contact point in respect of the work programme and outage plan.
  • Assisting in the building of work programmes with Engineers and Team Leaders.
  • Supporting the Planning Scheduler to drive efficiencies in the work programme by actively managing the process and looking for improvements.
  • Supporting the weekly and daily maintenance of the resource plan and work programme.
  • Maintaining the outage plan for Transmission Operations and search for opportunities to combine work activities/defect management.
  • Utilising SAP to identify potential work to maximise outage opportunities and drive productivity.
  • Production and delivery of reports and management information within agreed timescales.
  • Implementation of work programme project administration controls.
  • Actively manage the Delegated Purchasing process to ensure governance and compliance with corporate process for the department.
  • Administration of Transmission Operations HSEQ reports and workflow within OneHS.
  • Liaising with external suppliers and other business areas.
  • Ensuring awareness of and compliance with Company Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

What You'll Bring:


  • Expert knowledge of corporate IT systems.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Contract Management / Commercial awareness.
  • Good working knowledge of interbusiness processes and relationships.
  • Ability to devise solutions to problems or challenges.
  • Developed organisational and analytical skills to be able to assess and manipulate data to produce clear reports and advice as appropriate.
  • Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
