What we are looking for


We are looking for a creative, innovative and motivated
Programme and Administrative Assistant to join our
Economic Growth and Climate Change Team.

This dynamic Team are at the heart of delivering on the Council's economic ambition.

About the role


You will support the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Regeneration and Economic Development Teams in delivering key regeneration, economic development and special capital projects, and across the organisation as required.


This will include:


  • Carrying out a range of project related tasks and administration activities including provision of general support, advice and information to businesses, residents and other key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Providing strategic and operational support to the wider team priorities such as web maintenance, assisting with the administration of funding bids, organising partner events and other team activities.
  • Maintaining records for a range of Government grant programmes and collating information from a range of partners and submitting returns back to Government on a regular basis. Previous finance, grant management or project management experience would be advantageous.
  • Developing and maintaining a range of business focused engagement initiatives and project delivery tools, as directed by the Director for Economic Growth and Climate Change and Corporate Manager Economy and Business as well as providing assistance to the Regeneration and Capital Programme Manager.

About you


We are looking for someone who pays particular attention to detail, is flexible/adaptable and has a "can do" attitude to fit into our dedicated team.

You will be passionate about supporting growth in our Districts, creative in your approach and a great communicator.

  • Experience in data processing or grants management.
  • Experience of project management and delivery.
  • An understanding of Local Government systems and processes.
