Temporary vacancy for an experienced stores production operative to cover a maternity post at a busy warehouse near Falmouth.

Counterbalance / Forklift licence preferred.

Hourly rate of pay between £11 - £13 per hour depending on experience.


As a member of the Stores Department, the warehouse operative will be a contributor to the overall success and direction of the company and in determining its future.

The focus will be; managing the receipt of raw materials and goods, storage of raw materials and goods and; the dispatch of finished goods to the customer, under strict timescales to ensure customer needs are met.

The main focus will be supplying our customers the correct parts on time to the correct quality whilst maximising the operational margins to the business, ensuring the goods and services supplied to customers are in line with expectation, controlled appropriately,and in conformance with customer requirements.

Specific


Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with the Department Managers, Report items on the appropriate IT system on a daily basis.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Report issues to the Production Manager.
  • Receive incoming goods, ensuring correct quantities against purchase orders and dispatch notes.
  • Booking incoming goods on the M3 system, ensuring that quantities and locations are correctly recorded.
  • Storage of raw material in the appropriate storage areas, ensuring that materials are stored in a safe manner which protects both employees and the materials.
  • Issue of raw material to appropriate departments, ensuring that issued materials are booked out correctly on the M3 system.
  • Receipt of finished goods from production departments, ensuring that the quantities are recorded on the M3 system correctly.
  • Packing of finished good for dispatch to customer, ensuring that the quantities of goods packed are in accordance with customer wishes.
  • Dispatch of finished goods, by company vehicle or by courier, or by other means (including customer collection). Ensure that the goods are booked out on the M3 system, the packaging is appropriate for the goods, a signature is received for the dispatchfrom the courier service or customer.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that Health and Safety Policy is adhered to.
