About Elmley:Elmley is a family-run rural estate with an internationally renowned nature reserve, an award-winning accommodation and events business, and a wildlife-friendly farm on an island off the coast of Kent.

We have set out to ensure that our events and accommodation offerings do justice to the beauty of the landscape and nature, whilst ensuring that conservation and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. Elmley has become a destination for luxury escapes with an incredible nature experience.

The Role:This is a special opportunity to work with a friendly and passionate team in an incredible venue where sustainability and luxury are equally important.

The Role Entails:

Preparing meals for guests on-site, mainly suppers with occasional breakfast cover
Batch cooking once a week, then up to 4 evening services a week
Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
Working to the highest levels of food hygiene.

Seasonal Changes:
Autumn/Winter - Supper hampers prepared freshly and delivered to accommodation
Spring/Summer - Woodfired menu where guests come together to order and enjoy

Position Details:

Full-time role.
Shifts will be a mixture of mid-week, weekends, days, and evenings on rotation. Due to the nature of the role longer days will be required, particularly in the summer months.

Kingshill Farm, Elmley Nature Reserve, Sheerness, Kent ME12 3RW will be the place of work. Note if researching location using online maps, please note that some apps will add 30mins to the journey time to account for a footpath, it is suggested that the postcode ME12 3RN is used instead.

Elmley is located in North Kent it is 30 minutes from Faversham, Maidstone, and the Medway Towns, 45 minutes from Canterbury and 1 hour from South London.

Due to the rural location own transport is advised.
