- Lead the design and development of exterior components and systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to define design requirements, specifications, and project deliverables.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform design decisions and mitigate potential issues.
- Utilize advanced CAD tools and simulation techniques to optimize component designs for performance, manufacturability, and compliance.
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and validation activities to verify design integrity and performance targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in automotive design and development, with a focus on exterior components and systems.
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX) and simulation tools for structural analysis and optimization.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards relevant to automotive exteriors.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
