Year 6 TeacherResponsibilities
As a Year 6teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of childrentaking their first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamwork andcultivating a conducive learning environment.
Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children whilealso focusing on each individual childs learning targetsencouraging their strengths and improving theirweaknesses
Keeping track of childrens progressand occasionally reporting back toparents
Year 6Teacher Requirements
A qualifiedteacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent
Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATsexams
A proven track record of deliveringhighquality lessons and achieving excellent academicresults
A strong understanding of the nationalcurriculum and assessment methodologies
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizationalskills
Patience resilience and a passion forteaching
A willingness to work collaborativelywithcolleagues
