Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of 'Extended Life Solutions' for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy, non-core productsa has an opportunity for a Stores Assistant to join our team based in Staverton on a 6 month fixed term contract to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

What you'll be doing

You'll report into the Stores Manager & Stores Team Leader and contribute to the efficient running of the Stores function, ensuring correct procedures are carried out in the storage and issue of materials.

You'll be responsible for verifying and booking in piece parts received, ensuring that release is correct, and that traceability is always maintained.

You'll be responsible for picking, issuing stock accordance to pick lists whilst ensuring rotation of stock, maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular stock control checks.

You'll complete all tasks with a focus on Health & Safety and Quality regulations, whilst continuously seeking ways to improve our processes and service delivery.

What you'll already have

You'll ideally have experience of working in a fast-paced stores or stock environment with a working knowledge of stock control systems.

You'll be PC literate and able to use ERP systems. This role is working 37 hours; 8 hours Monday-Thursday and 5 hours on a Friday.

We operate a flexible start time, meaning you can start between 7.30am - 9:00am each day; however due to the nature of this role, we're looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach to hours worked.
