In your role as a Radioactive Waste Research Manager, you will be part of the Waste Innovation and Science Group which is responsible for the development of a unique strategy for nuclear fusion devices and making fusion energy a reality.


In your role you will be accountable for:

  • Supervision of researchers and graduates within the waste innovation and science group.
  • Carrying out experimental programmes
  • Writing final reports to satisfy stakeholder requirements
  • Delivering research plans to budget and time.

You'll need:

  • A STEM Degree or equivalent qualification or proven experience.
  • Project management experience
  • Scientific research experience
  • Good problemsolving abilities and be able to cope under pressure.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.

It would be helpful if you have:

  • Nuclear Decommissioning experience.
  • Nuclear Fusion knowledge.
