We are proud that our staff have told us that Bolton is a great place to work in Greater Manchester. One of the first things you will realise when you join us is the community feel and the supportive and nurturing culture.

The clinical lead role within the service has recently become available so if you are interested please contact Dr Rebecca Lennon (Divisional Medical Director) to discuss this role and receive a copy of the job description.

The service is looking for someone with sub-special interests in diabetic foot, young persons to lead and support developments in these areas. Other personal sub-speciality interests are welcome for discussion and development. Please contact Dr Simmi Krishnan via the details below to discuss these opportunities.

A full range of multidisciplinary clinics and specialty diabetes clinics are established. These include diabetes foot ulcer, young people, pump, antenatal and pre-pregnancy clinics.

The post-holder should have a keen interest in these specialties as they would be expected to play a significant part in the development and improvement of these sub-specialty units.

Patient education is an area we are excited to redesign - the post holder will participate in the development and implementation of this.

There are regular specialty team clinical governance and educational meetings to examine practice and maintain quality and co-ordinate care.

The post holder will be required to participate in the Postgraduate Education programme. Contribution to Research programmes and regular clinical audit involvement is essential. Collaborative projects with academic centres in Manchester and local research on patient education and care delivery will be encouraged.
