An exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Document Controller to join our expanding Engineering team at Freudenberg Oil & Gas, Port Talbot.

The Technical Document Controller performs activities within the Engineering Department of the Connector SBU. Responsible for the upkeep of engineering information in the company's MRP system (SAP), documentation control and checking of material master information, in a timely, accurate and efficient manner


Responsibilities:


  • Checking of existing and new parts, upkeep of engineering information and document control within SAP and PDM system.
  • Creation of new parts into SAP as dictated by engineering.
  • Creation of ECN and performing BOM changes as dictated by engineering.
  • Collate and manage all documents within a technical enquiry.
  • Obtain necessary documents from appropriate departments e.g. drawings and company procedures.
- 'Flag up' document issues.

  • Actively track and control engineering specific documents through "cradle to grave". (customer material specifications, piping specifications, etc )
  • Set up databases for documents and ensure they are properly organized and easily accessible.
  • Ensure documents are properly archived.
  • Maintaining existing engineering data.

Qualifications:


  • Technical Certificate/Diploma an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience with technical documentation and revision control.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Meticulous and organized.
  • Experience in manufacturing and Engineering environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP will be an advantage.
