Hours of Work: 21 hours
Working Pattern:
Weekdays, flexibility in respect of days to be worked and number of hours per day
Contract:
Fixed term until March 31st 2025 (with the possibility of contract extension until March 2027)
Salary:
£14,829.36 per year
- actual salary based on 21 hours
Base:
Brian Jackson House, New North Parade, Huddersfield, HD1 5JP, However there will be times when you are expected to work from Jo Cox House, Batley and occasionally remote working in the community (Kirklees).

The primary role of our Thriving Kirklees Service Co-Ordinator is to coordinate and develop the delivery of YCC'S Thriving Kirklees services to ensure service users and target communities needs are met.
This includes planning and coordinating effective community engagement to improve accessibility of services and to raise awareness and knowledge of these services to overall increase uptake.
Job Description - Main Activities
- To ensure effective operational processes and procedures are implemented and followed for efficient service delivery.
- To be responsible for ensuring external contractual targets and outcomes are on track to be met.
- To ensure both qualitative and quantitative data is collated and is readily available in a timely manner for monitoring purposes.
- To report to YCC management on service progress/challenges in line with reporting
- To be responsible for undertaking community engagement, networking, and information sharing
- Develop strong working relationships with new and established service contacts, partner agencies and YCC services
- To be responsible for maintaining stock levels
- Comply with all relevant YCC policies and procedures
- Undertake training and professional development as necessary in order to be able to fulfil the role
Person Specification - Knowledge, training and experience required
- This role would suit anyone with an interest in public health, health inequalities and community development work.
- GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths
- Level 3 qualification in childcare and development or experience in child development & health & wellbeing
- Experience of service delivery
- Experience of working with partners and professionals in supporting the development of service provision
- Experience of coordinating and supervising employees
- Experience of monitoring, reporting and evaluation
- Ability to work across Kirklees and neighbouring areas as required
