What is the Role?

Reporting to the Renewables Chief Information Officer and a key member of the SSER IT Leadership Team, the Head of Information Management will be responsible for the development, delivery, and ongoing management of Renewables-wide information systems, collaborating with business users to determine technology choice, and ensuring appropriate processes are in place throughout the life cycle.

The Role will also require you to implement appropriate information quality processes to ensure the accuracy of the information, and ensure compliance against information security and privacy requirements, particularly as information moves more into cloud-based systems.

This will require you to manage several multi-discipline teams to manage information technologies and processes and provide the day-to-day technology and business process support across the different Renewables businesses from project development and construction, through to asset management and operations.

The role will therefore require you to fully evaluate technology options and processes, and work in conjunction with the wider Renewables IT team to ensure information systems are aligned with the wider Renewables digital strategy.

The role will require effective leadership and provision of strategic direction and overall management of multiple information teams, together with establishing effective relationships with wider businesses such as Group IT, Procurement, Finance and HR to ensure full alignment to deliver the overall information strategy.

You will also be responsible for the management of a £multi-million investment programme and managing key strategic contracts and partnerships that will be required to support delivery.

Responsible as a member of the Renewables IT Leadership Team to support the development and implementation of the longterm business strategy.
Responsible for the overall management of multiple discipline teams, setting strategic direction and ensuring effective and efficient delivery.
Responsible for the development and implementation of a Renewables wide Information Management strategy, ensuring the efficient flow of key information throughout the life cycle of an asset from development and construction to asset management and operations.
Responsible for effective stakeholder engagement across the Renewables Executive team and their senior leaders to identify information management requirements, issues, and opportunities.
Responsible for working with Group Information Security teams to ensure information management activities comply with regulatory information security and privacy requirements and provide ongoing assurance activities to confirm compliance.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate skills are in place and for establishing team development and succession plans to meet longer terms skills needs.
Responsible for the execution of new information management technologies and processes across the business, using dedicated project teams and through commercial engagement with external delivery partners.
Responsible for leading the Renewables organisation through business change as required to successfully deploy new technologies and processes.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

An experienced senior manager with a track record of delivering business change and technology innovation within complex environments.
Experience in building and leading high performance multi discipline teams across diverse locations.
Highly commercial with ability to negotiate and influence at all levels, managing conflict and able to achieve business buyin to new ways of working.
Have experience across a broad range of information management technologies with an ability to evaluate and select new technologies to meet long term business information needs.
Have experience with project investment and delivery programmes associated with information technologies and business processes.
Have experience of managing across multi disciplines teams and working within a demanding technical and commercial environment.
Ability to constantly innovate and drive for business growth and continuous improvement in a complex and changing environment.
High levels of organisation capability to set the direction of the team and measure against delivery to the agreed quality and timescales.
Capable of understanding the commercial context of the Renewables business and implications across the wider business objectives.
