Description
Our Gold Standard Cat Clinic and RCVS accredited training practice Plymouth Woolwell Vets for Pets has an excellent opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join our experienced team.
Our practice owner Joanna has completed the ESVPS General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, has a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice and is currently working towards an exotics certificate so with a passion for teaching, this gives you as a solid GP vet the opportunity to further develop your skills surrounded by a supportive team.
You'll also be working with an incredible nursing team including a certificate holder and nurses who undertake schedule 3 procedures, some of whom have been with the practice since it opened in 2014As well as a large, designated colleague area, facilities at our purpose-built practice include 4 consulting rooms, operating theatre, central preparation room and all the equipment you would expect from a leading GP practice along with orthopaedic surgical kits.
We have a travelling orthopaedic vet with us once a week on average, along with a heart vet every Thursday which gives our team further opportunity to learn and develop from our varied caseload.
Ideally this is a full-time role, with flexibility for shorter hours considered if required.Full-time our vets currently work 4 days a week, in addition to a shared weekend rota when we open between 9am and midday on Saturday and 10am and midday on Sunday, for consultations and emergencies only.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, a team player with great communication skills and someone who shares our passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.
