Fluor is looking for an HR Advisor

  • In the role of HR Advisor, you will be responsible for all daytoday HR operations activities to support the Advanced Technology & Life Sciences (ATLS) business line across Europe and the Nordics. We support employees in the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
  • This role is based in Farnborough, UK. You will work closely with the ATLS senior leadership team and employees.
  • Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependant) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Role & Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of project related staffing plans & recruitment for these working in collaboration with corporate recruiters, department managers and our in-house recruitment agency team to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the effective use of program resources across multiple projects
  • Act as key point of contact for our inhouse recruitment agency and thirdparty supplier queries
  • Act as key point of contact for assignment related queries and work closely with the home offices and Fluor Global Mobility team to ensure assignments are initiated
  • Work closely with Fluor Global Mobility team to ensure assignment (de)mobilisation requirements are met
  • Provide monthly payroll input requirements and deal with any payroll provider/employee pay related queries
  • Support international payroll and tax team with HR/compliance queries from our Tax Provider
  • Ensure ATLS projects are set up correctly following project HR guidelines
  • Manage employee relations cases including: sickness absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy etc.
  • Manage the onboarding process and run HR induction sessions for all ATLS employees
  • Manage the offboarding process and conduct exit interviews
  • Assist with HR compliance activities e.g. chasing missing documentation or noncompletion of mandatory Fluor training
  • Act as key point of contact for locations where Fluor does not have a home office/local HR team e.g. Denmark and France
  • Support the salary review process and bonus planning process in collaboration with the HR Lead
  • Deal with daytoday HR queries e.g. policies/procedures etc.
  • Provide recruitment and interview support as and when required
  • Provide training advisory with the support of a Talent and Development Specialist
  • Involvement/ownership of HR projects as and when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Job Requirements
  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Operations/Field role in a global organisation, able to navigate complexity, build strong networks and happy working in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication skills able to build strong relationships and be able to influence/persuade others. Role likely to communicate with senior management, employees, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, third party suppliers and visitors
  • Strong attention to detail and work in a timeconscious and timeeffective manner
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment Law and experience of dealing with ER issues
  • Some experience of European employment law would be ideal but nonessential
  • Some experience of global mobility would be ideal
  • Familiar with HR policies and procedures and able to provide advice as required
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Will need to travel to attend to business related matters
  • Other duties as assigned
