Thirty years later, Paneltex produces hundreds of refrigerated vehicle bodies, vehicle body kits, and portable cold stores a week out of seven specialised factories across the UK.


Position Title:
General Labourer


Location:
Paneltex, HU8


Hours of work:40 hours per week - Monday

  • Thursday Friday

Salary:
Up to £11.00


Other Benefits:
Equivalent of 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), Contributory pension scheme & Life Assurance cover.


Job Overview
The scope of the role is to assist the manufacturing teams to meet business requirements. Ensuring the workplace is adequately safe and tidy, in line with company health and safety practices. Managing waste and upholding the current recycling regulations. Assisting with the safe manoeuvring of parts around the site. Parts movement will involve the use of FLTs, pallet Movers etc and include bulky items.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Banksman duties
  • Unloading of vehicles delivering goods to the site.
  • Checking of goods received against the paperwork at time of receipt
  • Detailed check of goods prior to relocating to the required storage location
  • Identify goods received using computer system/drawings
  • Picking and packing duties
  • Labouring
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Waste management
  • Setting up of manufacturing equipment
  • Using CNC routers and setting up CNC tooling
  • QA inspection of goods

Knowledge, skills and Abilities**- Previous experience in an engineering environment

  • Ability to understand and follow basic written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • High work ethic & team player
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Flexible approach to overtime
  • Demonstrates good health and safety practices
  • FLT licence (essential)
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety.
