Salary:
£47,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on experience)

Hours:
£37.5 hours, Monday - Friday

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a busy manufacturing company based in Preston who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Development Manager to lead their product development team and bring innovative medical and respiratory devicesto market.

As the leader of product development efforts, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development projects from concept to taking it to market, ensuring that project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Continuously analysing project information to ensure any issues are identified and mitigated straight away
  • Tracking spend and controlling overall project costs.
  • Work with the team to identify and manage potential risks
  • Manage changes to projects, supporting the team and driving ownership
  • Lead a team of skilled Engineers, as well as support in the development of apprentices and T-Level students

Requirements:


Essential:

  • Either an Engineering / Project Management degree or the ability to demonstrate 10+ Years of relevant working experience
  • A proven track history of project managing design projects from concept through to release.
  • Strong knowledge of project management regulatory requirements, including policies, processes, procedures & systems.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members
  • The ability to write clear and concise reports and deliver information effectively to stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to Medical Devices and/or Personal Protective Equipment
  • Experience in the design of plastic injection moulded components
  • Experience in the development of products in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 Certified company
  • Project Management Qualification, preferably APM
