- Identify signs of compromise in cyber security services, IT systems, and related infrastructure that have been missed by the SOC and report as security incidents.
- Ensure successful resolution and closure of cyber security incidents.
- Monitor cyber security services, systems, and related infrastructure for signs of failure or error and report as IT incidents.
- Resolve IT incidents and complete service requests related to cyber security in compliance with defined processes and service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide suggestions to enhance systems and optimize log storage for the Cyber Security team.
- Collaborate with the Cyber Security Team to develop hands-on vulnerability and threat management across all IT Systems.
- Stay informed about changes in cyber security threats and respond accordingly to evolving threat profiles.
- Identify potential and actual vulnerabilities in applications, infrastructure, services, software, and systems.
- Participate in the exception review of user access requests, new software or hardware facilities, and report findings to the Cyber Security Team.
- Take charge of vulnerability management reduction across all IT Systems.
- Experience in analyzing event logs and detecting cyber intrusions or attacks.
- Proficiency in tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint).
- Understanding of relevant Cyber Security standards, legislation, and regulations, including compliance standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of Infrastructure and modern platforms, especially M365 & Azure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices.
- CISSP

psd group presents an exciting opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Security Engineer in partnership with a leading organization committed to enhancing their IT Infrastructure/Cyber Security.
We seek a proactive individual to identify signs of compromise in cyber security services, IT systems, and related infrastructure. This role involves actively managing vulnerability reduction across all IT Systems and collaborating with the SOC to oversee cyber incident response activities.
The ideal candidate will have a background in IT Infrastructure transitioning into Cyber Security, holding a current cyber security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
