Purchasing & Material Controller

Location:
Ipswich

Salary:
Up to 30k

Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are proud to be working with a well renowned global company who pride themselves on giving the very best customer experience.

You will be the central hub controlling stock in their warehouses and making sure the stock gets to its destinations across the UK.

You will join a team of 6 to 8 people in a modern, friendly office environment and joining a company that offers a benefitpackage worth thousands of pounds.

What is involved?

Ensure all orders are processed and delivered as required in accordance with purchasing procedures and corporate policy.
Ensure best prices, service and quality of products purchased.
Being first point of contact for vendors and their queries with orders.
Deal with nonsupplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods logged within loading reports.
Process invoices in relation to purchases made.
Validate invoices and ensure that those invoices requiring secondary approval are finalised before routing back to purchase ledger.
Has overall responsibility for ensuring that the Purchasing system is populated and updated with critical information (Itineraries, Periods, and Currencies as examples).
Uploads vendor ISO information into supplier database and tracks new updated information.
To control and maintain accuracy of stocks within the warehouse.
To ensure goods received to the warehouse are accurately checked and recorded into the purchasing system.
Works with Purchasing Manager and buying team to implement planned product changes and projects.
