You will lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009) within the locality and provide professional leadership to a skill mix team to enable the efficient and effective delivery of the commissioned service. You will facilitate and deliver a range of assessments, brief interventions, proactive public health initiatives and work both independently and as part of a multi-agency team around the family. You will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise and governance in all aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines and policies. Main duties of the job The primary role of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) is to lead delivery of the commissioned elements of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009) including the 0-19 (Health Visiting and School Nursing) High Impact Areas. The role includes providing clinical leadership and management support to Community Staff Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses, School Nurse Assistants and Administrative Support staff to support the delivery of a quality 0-19 public health service About us Southern Health is one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health and learning disabilities, as well as offering physical health community-based services. We are currently working closely with other NHS Trusts to integrate all our collective community, mental health, and learning disability services. The transformation will happen in staggered stages Hampshire CAMHS, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust joined Southern Health in February 2024, with Isle of Wight NHS Trust mental health and community services transitioning in early May 2024.
