    Description

    Kenect recruitment are looking for Refuse Collector for our client based in Lincoln

    Overall Purpose of the Role

    To work as part of a team under the guidance of a Waste Collection Driver to collect household or trade waste or recycling and load such items onto a collection vehicle

    Responsibilities

    • To collect items of waste or recycling from a variety of locations and load them safely onto a collection vehicle.
    • To work with others, in particular the Refuse Collection Driver/Loader/Charge Hand, to ensure the safe and timely completion of an allocated round.
    • To assist others, in particular the Refuse Collection Driver/Loader/Charge Hand, in the safe and timely completion of other rounds and other work undertaken by the Waste Operations Team.
    • To assist the driver in the safe movement of the vehicle, in particular acting as the reversing assistant.
    • To operate safely, the tools and equipment required to undertake the collection of waste and complete allocated work in accordance with established operating and safety procedures.
    • To contribute to maintaining a positive relationship between North East Lincolnshire residents and the Waste Operations Team.
    • To pass on accurate information to members of the public or others as required, about waste and recycling services in North East Lincolnshire.
    • Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level
    • Assist in work familiarisation for colleagues and new recruits.
    • Personal responsibility for the correct handling of refuse and recycling containers.
    • Shared responsibility for use of mobile phone allocated to the round.
    • Personal responsibility for the safe operation of lifting equipment on the waste collection vehicle.
    • Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to deliver service outcomes.

    Monday to Thursday 07:00-14:30 and Friday 07:00-14:00

    £11.79 per hour
