    Enthusiastic GP Partner /Salaried GP wanted to join our forward-thinking, supportive and progressive single-site, independent practice in Taunton. We are keen to hear from GPs at any stage of their career.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team who prioritise a high standard of patient care to our steadily growing list of 6400 patients, with good patient access and work-life balance for our GPs and staff. Our stunning new purpose-built extension provides spacious clinical and admin areas. Rural properties in many of the pretty villages surrounding Taunton are within easy commute to the practice, which has free on-site parking. Our practice has corporate membership for all of our staff and their families to enjoy the nearby Hestercombe House and Gardens year round. A move to Lyngford Park Surgery will provide a great quality of life with easy access to the moors and beaches, while the proximity to the M5, Bristol Airport and train routes provides an opportunity to access cosmopolitan city life in Exeter, Bristol and London.

    The County town of Taunton is ideally located within easy access to the outstanding natural beauty of the Blackdown Hills, Quantock Hills and Exmoor with a network of footpaths and byways for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. There are local hotspots for cycling such as the ancient drovers' trails on the Somerset Levels, canal rides at North Newton, surfing at Woolacombe, water sports at Wimbleball Lake, and climbing at Cheddar Gorge, there's plenty to keep you occupied alongside the abundance of music festivals. Taunton has diverse shopping, restaurants, and regularly hosts national and international music and sporting fixtures such as Somerset Cricket Club and Taunton Racecourse. If you have family commitments, Somerset offers some of the best schools in the country. The primary schools of Somerset are justly renowned and have many a high performing independent co-educational secondary school with many international students.
