An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Early Years Tutor (22.5 hours per week) to work within a well established training provider that received an OFSTED rating of 'Good' in their last inspection.

You will be working with learners based inthe Leeds and Hull areas where you will be conducting face to face visits in the workplace as well as remotely so will need to hold a full driver's licence and have access to your own transport.

Working as part of the Apprenticeship delivery team you will be working independently visiting Learners at a variety of sites within Leeds, Hull and the surrounding areas.

You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessmentof Early Years Apprenticeship frameworks/standards.

The package available for the Early Years Tutor:

  • Basic salary up to £28000 (pro rata).

The role and responsibilities of the Early Years Tutor:

  • Deliver full training and support learners to achieve their apprenticeships.
  • Delivery of Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT depending upon our Apprentices needs.
  • Develop highquality Individual Learning Plans for the learner and create personalised learning to enable the learner to achieve the required learning outcomes.
  • Develop resources and materials for apprenticeships including high quality 'Schemes of Work' and training plans.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, providing customised highquality delivery.
  • Guide and support learners and their employers in the effective pursuit of their qualifications, individual learning programme and progression planning.
  • Visit each Apprentice in the workplace on a regular basis to assess their progress and deliver teaching sessions as well as conducting remote sessions between face to face meetings.
  • Maintain regular contact with learners and deliver high quality learning and development outcomes.
  • Meet learning outcomes and improving soft skills in a flexible and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure all learner records, progress and reporting are kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements.
  • Ensure learner progress reports are kept up to date and are correct and submitted weekly to manager.
  • Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality & Diversity in line with the qualification requirements.
Skills, knowledge and experience required for the position of Early Years Tutor:

  • Recognised teaching qualification e.g. PTTLS, Award in Education and Training.
  • Assessor qualified, A1, TAQA, CAVA would be an advantage.
  • Experience of delivering Residential Childcare and Early Years Educator qualifications up to Level
  • Experience of supporting apprenticeship learners through to end point assessment.
  • Excellent IT Skills and proficient in using E-Portfolio's and Online Learning and Assessment platforms. Experience with Skill Forward, CognAssist and OneFile would be an advantage.
  • Strong vocational competence or sector specific qualification at Level 5 or above.

For the position of Early Years Tutor you will be required to visit learners in the workplace so a full UK Driving License and access to own transport would be an advantage.
