Operations Accountant


Salary:
£55,000 - £60,000


Location:
Hull


This is an initial interim contract for a CIMA/ACCA qualified Operations Accountant and has potential to become a permanent appointment.

The role sits within the food manufacturing sector with a well known and highly respected Hull company.

THE ROLE:
The role will finance business partner and advise the operations/supply chain directors and take the lead on financial matters, ensuring delivery of business and operational objectives
Prepare the weekly/ monthly operational accounts and support KPI's working with department heads to supply variance analysis and commentary for financial and operational performance
Lead planning and forecasting operational processes to provide accurate and timely future facing data on which to base decisions
Drive improvements to total supply chain/operational performance and procedures, through identification of relevant data, reporting, operational and CI planning
Ad hoc proactive investigation, reports, capital proposals and financial propositions relevant to business/ function strategy and performance

THE CANDIDATE:
Experience of ERP systems and the ability to advise on improving processes is important, therefore you need to have excellent analytical and investigative skills
First class communication and interpersonal skills are essential in order to liaise across various areas of the business
You will be immediately available or on short notice to be able to take up this contract which has the potential to become a permanent appointment

My client is a well known and highly respected company in Hull operating in the FMCG food manufacturing sector.
