Storekeeper (Adventure Training- Soldier Development)
LOCATION:
Soldier Development Wing (Sennybridge Army Training Camp, Sennybridge, Brecon Becons, South Wales, LD3 8PN)
Part Time: 25 hours per week
Following a recent contract award, Entrust will be delivering adventure training programmes on behalf of the British Army from April 2021.
The programmes provide a challenging means through which recruits are exposed to a climate of achievement and self-development, under controlled risk, in often challenging and austere outdoor settings.
In this environment, the students are to be inspired, by example, to display initiative, develop self-confidence, physical and moral courage, resilience and determination, leadership skills and improved functional skills that directly enhance 'military capability' and are aligned to Army standards and values.
We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Storekeeper to support the delivery of adventure training to phase one Army recruits and other units, by assisting with the care, maintenance and issue of Adventure Training clothing and equipmentJob title:
Storekeeper
What you'll be doing:
- Issue and collection of appropriate clothing and equipment to recruits and permanent staff, including associated record keeping
- Issue and receipt of technical adventure training equipment to instructors, including associated record keeping
- Daily and other periodic checks of clothing and equipment, including 3monthly PPE checks, along with associated record keeping
- Loading and unloading drying rooms, restocking storage areas ready for reissue
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance of clothing and equipment
- Laundry and drying of adventure training clothing and equipment
- Compliance with all relevant Entrust and client policies and procedures
- Assist with keeping the Soldier Development Wing stores clean and tidy
What we're looking for:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Hold or working towards a HSE recognised PPE Inspector Qualification
- Experience of record keeping and reporting
- Experience of storekeeping/stores management
