Description

Our client, a successful family-owned privacy consultancy, is seeking a part-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their close-knit team.

They have established operations in the UK, US, and Caribbean, with significant anticipated growth (mainly outside the UK). This is an exciting new position offering ample opportunities.

• Part-time role, starting at 2-3 days per week with flexibility for potential growth
• Flexible hours and location, with a requirement for at least one day per week at the London office
• Possible international travel may be necessary but not frequent
• Close collaboration with the CEO
• Backed by the founder's EA, Directors, accountants in all jurisdictions, and senior management team

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee bookkeeping tasks
• Manage cash flow across different currency entities
• Optimize treasury activities
• Approve and manage supplier and staff payments
• Ensure accurate bank reconciliations
• Generate management reports
• Coordinate with accountants in various countries for statutory accounts and tax filings
• Maintain corporate records and compliance
• Assist with family investment operations, including due diligence support
• Forecast cash flow and profitability
• Develop investment and return models

Requirements:

• We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong business acumen and previous experience in multinational, multi-currency operations, preferably in a professional services setting.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• CIMA or ACA certification
• Prior exposure to multi-currency operations, cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero), and experience in a small family office or alternative investments are advantageous
• Passion for biscuits and snacks is a plus
