Senior Front End React Software Engineer - Investment Banking - Hybrid WFH/City HQ to suit. c£125,000-150,000 + bonus + Benefits

How would you like to work on an exciting greenfield, multi-year project in the Front Office of one of the largest Asset Management organisations in the world? Our client is seeking an expert Senior Software Engineer to lead by example (hands-on) in a teambuilding an event driven microservice architecture using React, Confluent Kafka,.NET and Azure.

This will be a truly transformational project with support across the whole of Asset Management.

The goal is to create a simplified cloud native service-orientedarchitecture, with a highly-responsive front end, developed on their award-winning platform.

A self-starter, capable of working in an autonomous delivery team that is aligned to delivering business value, you will be part of a small cross-functional, distributed team following Agile ways of working.

You will pride yourself on having the highest technical understanding of good User Interface development and design principles.

Your expertise:

BSc and/or MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
Significant, demonstrable employment within Investment Banking.
Strong experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Strong experience with state management and data visualisation.
Strong experience with CSS3and HTML
Experience integrating the front end with RESTful API's and event driven microservices
Experience with TDD, BDD and UI Test Automation Frameworks.
UX Design, Interaction and/or Visual Design experience (ideally in a financial sector)to prototype scenarios and endtoend experiences with product owners and business stakeholders
Experience with Cloud architecture and engineering is beneficial, ideally on Microsoft Azure.
Agile, Test Driven Development and DevOps practices are part of your DNA.
A Software Craftsperson focused on engineering best practices and delivering Clean Code.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, you like to figure out how things work.
Keen interest in understanding how the business works
Passion for learning and innovation.
