- Serving as a point of technical escalation within the IT team.
- Analysing all security events and intrusions attempts across CPI's estate making recommendations for the continuous improvement of network infrastructure.
- Ensuring adherence to the relevant Cyber Security and Regulatory standards.
- Providing technical support and technical quality control throughout all stages of a project's delivery.
- Engagement with other infrastructure teams to ensure alignment.
- A re-architecture of our Corporate Networks, with further improvements scheduled.
- Commenced Wireless Network upgrades (which the successful candidate will also be assisting with).
- Commenced Operational Network upgrades and re-architecture (which the successful candidate will also be assisting with).
- Be able to demonstrate working at a CCNA level plus significant relevant industry experience.
- Have an understanding of networking concepts and terminologies and experience with Cisco technologies, including (but not limited to) Routing and Switching.
- Have an understanding of security components including network access control, firewalls and SIEM technologies.
- Have experience with active directory, DNS, DHCP and other 'back office' technologies to a competent level.

workDue to CPI's continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available within the IT team for a Network Engineer.
The purpose of this role is to support, manage and continually improve the CPI network infrastructure, while monitoring the performance and resolving any network or security related issues. You will be working closely with all disciplines across the organisation, engaging regularly with the user community to resolve issues and implement new solutions.

The person we are seeking
Successful candidates will be educated to HNC or Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) in an IT discipline plus significant industrial experience or educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in an IT discipline plus relevant industrial experience and;
Applications are particularly welcome from candidates who have an understanding of Cyber Essentials Plus and have Wireless Network Experience. The successful candidate will be assisting with the ongoing development of our Cyber Security Footprint.
It would also be advantageous if candidates held NSE certificates and a CCNA certificate or are working towards this.
