Responsibilities:


  • Understand imagingrelated project needs as expressed in a clinical study protocol. Ability to translate clinical end points to an imaging strategy and further to formalize this in a study imaging manual and quality manual and training material.
  • Comprehensive, seasoned and deep technical, scientific and operational expertise as well as expertise knowledge of complex underlying principles, approaches and methodology principles in multimodality medical imaging, Medical Physics, Statistics, expertise in using Molecular Imaging (MI) and contrast media techniques in a clinical environment.
  • Develop and maintain the imaging strategy in line with the project strategy of the MI and contrast media products.
  • Drive and communicate technical, scientific, operational strategies in function and department as well as with partner organizations.
  • Understand and evolve the requirements of a drug development pipeline (Phase 14) and scientific methodology.
  • Ability to develop imaging manuals, training materials, analysis manuals, and quality manuals for clinical research studies across different modalities scanner vendors.
  • Represent imaging competence in Pharmaceutical Diagnostics
  • R&D globally and considered expert and gotoperson across functions.
  • Set the imaging requirements at clinical sites and ensure that these are recorded appropriately.
  • Provide imaging project plan and ensure competent imaging resource estimates for research initiatives, clinical trial execution and supply budgets.
  • Influence portfolio / operational strategies, technical and scientific roadmaps, risks and recommendations with internal and external teams and influences senior leadership.
  • Develop dosimetry imaging requirements and perform organ level dosimetry calculations.
  • Travel to international and domestic clinical study sites to assist with or perform initiation and training.
  • Maintain competence in the modality associated with the position.
  • Clinical study image data management for internal and external customers according to Good Clinical Practice, HIPPA and other applicable regulations.
  • Build crossbusiness strategies between Pharmaceutical Diagnostics and Healthcare Systems.

Qualifications:


  • MSc or PhD in a relevant science discipline such as Medical Physics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering etc.
  • Strong background in MI and contrast media including PET/CT, SPECT and another imaging modalities (desired but not mandatory).
  • Proven track record of working across multiple functions with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge in the scientific and clinical research of diagnostic imaging agents.
  • Expertise in clinical workflows, Nuclear Medicine imaging (PET, SPECT and planar) and personalized dosimetry.
  • Proven experience in analyzing medical images and familiarity with clinical practice.
  • Expertise in scanner qualification and protocol set up across different scanner vendors.
  • A high degree of initiative, ability to work systematically and independently.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
  • Excellent oral and written command of English.

Desirable skills:


  • Relevant professional qualifications and certifications (e.g. Board Certification, Member or Fellow in an appropriate professional body etc.).
  • Experience working in industry/Healthcare.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. MatLab, C++, Python, IDL etc.). Knowledge of commercial medical workstation platforms and their capabilities valued.
  • Ability to organise image reviews and author the review documents.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to persevere and work effectively during highpressure situations.
