- Comply with swimming pool policies and procedures
- Conduct daily checks of water, signs, and safety equipment
- Provide safety instructions to swimmers and ensure compliance
- Supervise non-lifeguard staff during swimming sessions
- Administer swimming tests and maintain records
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels for safety
- Identify and respond to emergencies promptly
- Maintain pool security and cleanliness
- Anticipate and prevent accidents
- Hold a valid NPLQ certification from RLSS, STA, or HABC
- Pass a Barracudas Lifeguard Competency Assessment
- Be mentally alert, physically fit, and have good hearing and vision
- Be at least 18 years old
- Legally eligible to work in the UK
- Provide professional/academic references
- Complete an enhanced DBS check
- Participate in training and induction sessions
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance
- Organize suitable activities for children
- Supervise children's behavior and welfare
- Follow camp procedures and guidelines
- Act as a positive role model
- Report any Child Protection concerns
- Accommodate children with special needs
- Ensure equipment safety
- Adapt to changing roles and organizational objectives
