***Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader to join our business in Wincanton on a permanent basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of Maintenance Personnel / Dept.
- Organising and distribution of work loads
- Manage and control of PPM Maintenance scheme
- Set and Manage Maintenance budget
- Arrange & control contractors
- Issue, control and administer Work Permits
- Functions as part of site management team
- Manage all personnel holidays and absence
- Audit preparation and communication to auditor
- Carry out tasks charged by ISO, BRC, AIB or any other
- Recruitment of personnel
- Control and administration of pay
- Continuous improvements of site, personnel and equipment
- Manage, organise and control all relevant paperwork e.g. safety and insurance
- Continuous improve focused, delivering projects that drive sustainable benefit to the organisation.
Maintenance and repair of:
- Equipment
- Electrical & Mechanical Installations
- Supporting Resources
- Buildings and environment
- Utility Services
- Ensure that all equipment and site are maintained to an agreed standard.
- Management of site maintenance team
- Deliver maintenance engineering efficiency
- Liaise and support all on site departments
- Manage and implement all development and technical training for department
- Drive and improve the technical and behavioural skills of the maintenance team to create a world class maintenance department.
- Manage support and organise all external contractors.
- Responsible for emergency response activity.
- Ensuring all tasks concerning maintenance, repair, revision and positioning of electrical and mechanical installations in the company are effectively and efficiently carried out.
- Provide ongoing initiatives to improve site safety, quality, profit and site installations.
- Give technical support to all departments
- Control and management of all contracted services and legislative interaction.
- Continuous improvement and development of site planned maintenance scheme.
- Control and maintain budgeted expenditure and achievement of agreed improvement targets.
- Responsible for the achievement of all departmental KPI's and OEE targets (i.e. improve uptime)
- Proactively and visibly supports the Health and Safety standards, rules and regulations of the organisation.
Based in Wincanton with some travel to Somercotes
Experience and Skills:
- Relevant professional qualification.
- Expertise and training in automation and PLC control
- Expertise and training on safety regulations and definitions
- Ability to read, interpret and understand technical diagrams and manuals
- Five (5) years' experience as a supervisor or managerial role within a maintenance environment.
- Experience within food or similar industry ideally including short shelf life products and a chilled supply chain.
- Experience of hands on maintenance activities
- Proven record in delivering change programs, medium to large scale projects and team development.
- Proven budgetary management skills
- Call James on between the hours of 8am 5pm Mon-Fri
