- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality regulations.
- Identify and suggest improvements for SHEQ processes.
- Perform chemical analysis using XRF, spark-OES, gas fusion, combustion, and GDMS.
- Conduct micro-cleanliness examinations with optical microscopy.
- Prepare samples for analysis and cleanliness checks.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace through general 5S duties.
- Monitor and correct instrument calibration drift.
- Calculate in-process melt additions and report test results.
- Review and manage external contract analysis.
- Lead individual improvement projects.

This role is based in Killamarsh, Sheffield and is easily accessible by car and local public transport.
This role is for a shift-based Laboratory Technician to work Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern compromising 6.00am – 2.00pm, 2.00pm – 10.00pm and 10.00pm – 6.00am.
