    Bombardier's Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier's European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.


    What can you bring to the team?

    • Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
      • Adhere to Bombardier Work Requirements
      • You are responsible for prioritising health, safety, and environmental concerns, implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering awareness and accountability, and minimizing environmental impact while prioritizing workplace well-being.
    • Operational Efficiency:
      • Champion 5S, housekeeping, and general husbandry within your Quad.
      • Drive continuous improvement within your Quad to enhance efficiency, including staff hours/booking accuracy, labor cost reduction, and reporting against KPIs of Safety, Quality, Productivity, process, and procedure evolution.
      • Conduct and lead daily GEMBA within your Quad, escalating appropriate issues to senior management.
    • Productivity and Team Management:
      • Take ownership of productivity in your assigned areas, ensuring inclusive management of daily tasks and delegating appropriately to your Team Leads.
      • Manage daily operations in your Quad, overseeing hours booking, project run rates, roster management, and manpower planning, considering the diverse needs and experiences of your team.
    • Project Management:
      • Collaborate with dedicated assigned teams for each project to ensure on-time aircraft delivery.
      • Support and engage with customers to provide technical updates daily, aligning with financial progress.
      • Undertake occasional Network or Site-specific projects as required.
    • Supervisory Responsibilities:
      • Support supervisory responsibilities for assigned areas, ensuring equal opportunities for professional development and training.
      • Make personnel decisions considering diversity and inclusion, fostering a valued workplace.
      • Support Company People Policies, including probationary reviews, the annual performance cycle, and performance management issues.
      • Uphold Bombardier values within your team.

    How to excel in this role?

    • Technical Knowledge:
      • Have substantial experience in aircraft heavy/line maintenance, including supervisory roles.
      • Possess knowledge of critical maintenance tasks, regulations, aviation standards, and EASA/CAA Regulations.
      • Understand applicable Aviation standards such as AS9110, AS9120, and complementary standards.
    • People Management:
      • Understand Environmental, Health & Safety rules, Human Factors, and regulations to prioritize team safety.
      • Proactively manage and mentor staff, supporting performance review processes inclusively.
    • Technology and Systems:
      • Utilize information systems (e.g., SAP, Pivotal, Company project tracking tools).
    • Leadership Experience:
      • Previous leadership involvement in aircraft maintenance facilities, valuing team diversity.
      • Experience leading large teams/direct reports.
      • Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary for effective relationships, valuing diversity.
    • Customer Relations:
      • Skilled in customer services for diverse audiences, maintaining beneficial relations.
    • Behaviors:
      • Promote organizational values, behaviors, and diversity through interactions and effective employer branding strategies.
      • Results-oriented individual with the ability to influence others.
