    Job Profile
    As the successful CNC Machinist, you will be machining parts and components in the Turning section, working on either Mazak CNC Lathes with Live Tooling (MillTurn) or Sliding Head Lathes (depending on your experience), and your main function will be to Program, Set and Operate the CNC Lathes, checking dimensions in line with the inspection processes and general maintenance of multiple machines.

    Duties:
    • Create Programs and Set / Operate either MillTurn OR Sliding Head CNC Lathes.
    • Produce first-off components for inspection, working to fine tolerances.
    • Ensure components are produced as per specifications and drawings.
    • Inspect components during production.
    • Clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines.
    • Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.
    Skills & Attributes:
    • Experience with Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Lathes is essential.
    • Be conversant with Mazak (Mazatrol) controls OR Fanuc controls for the Sliding Head machines (either Star or Citizen).
    • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
    • Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.
    • Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC Turning.
    • Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.
    Hours of Work:
    • 39 hours a week
    • 07:45 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday and Friday 07:45 to 12:45
