Job Description
All positions will be 36.25 hrs (Mon-Fri) between the hours of 8.00am-6.00pm, however, this may vary between schools.
You will be asked to choose which school/s you wish to apply for in your application. The start dates will be beginning of Term One, 19th August.
Aberdeenshire Council is dedicated to enhancing opportunities in the local area by providing Modern Apprenticeships (MA's). Training and Qualifications gained through this apprenticeship are partly funded through Skills Development Scotland (SDS).
The apprenticeship allows you to enhance skills, experience, and knowledge in the world of work as well as obtaining a formal qualification. Successful candidates will be placed on a SDS approved programme of training, undertaking the SVQ in Social Services (Children & Young People) at SCQF Level 7. Academic achievement to Scottish National Level 5, Standard Grades, or equivalent qualifications one of which must be English is essential. Relevant experience with children would also be desirable.
Requirements
This **position** is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be **asked** to provide **the necessary documentation**. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Interviews will be conducted the week beginning 24th of June.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
