    Job Title: Clinical Psychologist at Oxleas

    Oxleas offers great opportunities for a Band 7-8a preceptorship post within the Adolescent Team. This role provides guaranteed funding for further training and welcomes applications from trainees qualifying later this year and current Band 7 colleagues looking to expand their experience.

    Main Duties of the Job:

    • To provide specialist psychological assessments of clients based on a variety of data sources
    • To formulate and implement plans for psychological treatment
    • To provide psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups
    • To evaluate treatment options and make decisions
    • To provide psychological advice and consultation to other professionals
    • To contribute to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care
    • To undertake risk assessment and management
    • To act as a care coordinator when needed
    • To communicate information effectively concerning assessment and treatment plans

    Teaching, Training, and Supervision:

    • To receive regular clinical professional supervision
    • To gain wider post-qualification experience
    • To develop skills in post-graduate teaching and training
    • To provide supervision to other staff members
    • To contribute to training programs within CAMHS

    Person Specification

    Essential

    • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent
    • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment
    • Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management
    • Experience working with a variety of client groups
    • Desirable

    • CAMHS clinical experience
    • Knowledge of attachment theory and developmental trauma
    • Knowledge and Skills

      Essential

    • Experience of audit or service development work
    • Description of knowledge and skills specific to the advertised post
    • Experience of CYP IAPT
    • Desirable

    • Experience of working with young people
    • Experience of audit or service development
