About The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Fleet and Logistics division as an EV and Sustainability Specialist.

As an EV and Sustainability Specialist you will be reporting directly into the Fleet and Logistics Performance and Operations manager and will be the point of contact for business functions ensuring focus on bringing together all project stakeholders for a sustainable implementation.


As a part of your role you will plan, attend, and manage network meetings and have the confidence to manage challenging conversations to a successful conclusion.

You will also be accountable and responsible for the Design & Modelling of Net Zero conversion and transition plans from methane to hydrogen.

These will cover dedicated local authorities which cover all Cadent's networks and so this is a very exciting time to join us


Key Accountabilities

  • Delivering the RIIO2 target of deploying electric vehicles for FCOs across our Cadent footprint.
  • Managing the rollout for across all networks. This will include organising and planning different activities, interacting with many stakeholders and people involved with the overall project.
  • Create a business case per network once converted to hydrogen and an accompanying plan to show a customer rollout date.
  • Identify innovative ways to support Cadent's journey to net zero, keeping up to date with the latest technologies and legislations.
  • Create multiple cost options based on different future scenarios (demand forecasting model and technology to be factored in, from slow adaption to fast pace).
  • Own the endtoend EV supply journey ensuring all vehicles are processed and managed efficiently and to set KPIs / quality standards, whilst underpinned by great customer service from our supply chain.
  • Manage the fleet team's net zero deliverables with a focus on achieving medium and longterm business strategy as set by the head of fleet & logistics (support services).
  • Creating material that illustrates how much bio gas, electric generation and CNG energy is generated every month in their respective Local Authorities and subsequent networks. Producing a miniFES (future energy scenario) document for each area responsible for.

About You

  • Experience of delivering a portfolio of projects across multiple regions.
  • Ability to analyse and interrogate data, identifying anomalies and root causes then creating a recovery plan to resolve issues.
  • Clear understanding of change management protocols
  • Network modelling capability, a problem solving, and analytical viewpoint is required.
  • Knowledge of economic modelling & Energy scenarios, ability to assess multiple datasets and use accordingly for FES and Models.
  • Knowledgeable in the identification and management of waste streams with the ability to influence the supply chain from point of source to disposal/recycling. Supporting land fill avoidance.
