Contract Summary


As part of a strategic partnership between IMG and The R&A, this role will be embedded within The R&A's management structure.


Employed by Seven League, IMG's digital arm, your primary client will be the R&A and you will be a core member of the R&A's commercial team.

You will also be a part of Seven League's wider team, growing your expertise as a digital practitioner in the sports industry.


The R&A is a leading body within the world of golf and engages and supports activities to ensure it is a thriving sport for all on a global scale.

Its responsibilities include governing the Rules of Golf, staging The Open, golf's original championship, and developing the sport.

Each year, the R&A also stages the AIG Women's Open and works with the DP World Tour to stage the Senior Open presented by Rolex.


As Commercial Content Producer for The R&A, you will work within the existing R&A content team, providing a key link to the Commercial Partnerships team.


The Commercial Content Producer will lead in the ideation, management and creation of assets to help serve existing contractual rights for partners as well as creating new inventory across digital assets, social media and video content.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Delivering high quality content output for contracted digital commercial rights to The R&A's existing partners
  • Creating new and innovative ideas, campaigns and products for existing partners
  • Assisting the Commercial Partnerships team with pitches for content offerings and digital products aimed at new potential sponsors.
  • Managing budgets and timelines for new commercial digital products and content campaigns
  • Identifying opportunities for commercial integrations within existing digital products and content strands
  • Understanding existing contracted Commercial digital rights and helping to shape new ones
  • Ensuring all Patron's digital obligations are delivered in the buildup to and within Championship weeks
  • Working closely with the newly appointed Syndication and Distribution manager to maximise exposure for Commercial Content Projects
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.
Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in managing and producing content assets and packages for major brands
  • A keen understanding of digital technologies, social media platforms, websites, apps and content production
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial content regulations through digital and social channels
  • Experience working with and managing external agencies
  • Experience in presenting ideas and opportunities both internally and externally.
  • Experience in valuing digital assets is desirable
  • Understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape
  • Understanding of Commercial integration into broadcast products including Ofcom regulations
  • Experience working at large sports or entertainment events
Skills and Abilities

  • Proactive approach to linking the Content Team and the Commercial Partnerships team
  • Excellent presentation skills to both internal stakeholders and external parties
  • Resource planning, project management and milestone tracking
  • Maximising profits through effective budget management and cost efficiencies
  • Knowledge of the endtoend production process for audio, video and digital products
Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent position.
  • Please note this role will be based at either our St Andrews, Scotland office or our London offices located in Islington or Chiswick.
  • Working hours are 9:00 18:00, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
  • Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
