The Purpose:

Manchester United is a leading Premier League Football Club with a global brand presence. The Club is looking for an Operations Assistant to join the Commercial Operations team and support Sponsorship Sales.


Based in the commercial office of this world-famous sports club and working as part of a larger Operations and Commercial department.


The role involves direct liaison with the Global Sales team and other key stakeholders at the Club and plays a significant role in building upon an already impressive array of commercial Partnerships.


The Role:


  • Carrying out daily activities such as the preparation and customisation of marketing materials
  • High quality stock keeping and gifting including printing jerseys
  • Logistical preparation including mail merging, sending letters and packages, and dealing with couriers daily
  • Working on prospect pitch creation and collateral
  • Sourcing and liaising with suppliers, building relationships that ensure we are receiving the best service and prices
  • Liaising with internal support teams ensuring all relevant marketing materials are delivered on time and deadlines met
  • Desk research, database management and sourcing/collating items
  • Strategy, analysis, and support on operational projects from concept through to completion

The Person:


  • Ambitious graduate/college or further education leaver with a strong academic background.
  • Extremely thorough with excellent attention to detail.
  • Competent time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A high level of concentration and selfmotivation with repetitive tasks is vital.
  • A proactive nature who with a handson approach to their work.
  • A teamplayer, able to collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Club.
  • The ability to work in an independent, resourceful, and selfconfident manner.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferable but not essential.
