    Test Engineer

    Role Overview


    Are you a passionate Test Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to contribute toward cutting-edge technology solutions? Our client, a global leader in intelligent communication solutions, is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join the team.

    This is a chance to become an integral member of the R&D team at a company operating at the forefront of communication technology and contribute towards the development of innovative solutions for critical communication needs worldwide.

    Key Responsibilities

    The overall responsibility of the Test Engineer is to define and conduct the independent testing of new and updated software and hardware products


    Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing an understanding of how company products are deployed in real-world customer applications
    • Producing test plans for software and hardware products at system level
    • Designing flexible test environments to suit the test plans and department requirements
    • Automating tests using appropriate environment (scripting, user interfaces and test rigs)
    • Conducting testing on new or updated hardware and software
    • Conducting internal training courses on new products and new product features
    Skills and Experience Required


    • Product and systems testing (software and hardware)
    • Proficiency in Python (or other languages) for scripting and developing graphical user interfaces
    • Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu)
    • Knowledge of networking
    • Knowledge of audio testing
    • Knowledge of Voice over IP solutions (SIP and Dante)
    • Knowledge of electronics
    Personal Qualities Required


    The successful candidate will:

    • Have a strong desire to build and develop a career as a professional Test Engineer
    • Be a team player who is comfortable working in a close-knit team and building strong professional relationships
    • Have good communication and documentation skills
    • Be able to work independently and pro-actively in order to make decisions, solve problems and drive issues to conclusions
    • Have good organisational skills
    • Have strong technical skills and a desire to develop these
    Education & Qualifications


    • Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
    • Preferably an ISTBQ certification (minimum basic level)
