    Registered Veterinary Nurse
    Alder Veterinary Practices, Spalding
    Up to £29,000 FTE depending on experience, plus benefits

    We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic close knit team . We are a relatively small but busy first opinion practice, with a wide range of experience within the team. Our nurses must be able to multitask and meet the challenges of the day. One day you could be in theatre, the next day you could run our busy and varied nurse consults, our days are never boring


    About Us

    We have two very well-established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns of Spalding and Bourne, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. We are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London.
    Both practices are equipped with digital radiography, Spalding has recently upgraded to the CSDR small animal DR system Xray, we have modern ultrasound machines at each branch, endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. We also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for our varied first opinion cases. Our Spalding branch has very recently been refurbished to a high spec finish and our Bourne branch is next on the list


    About the Team and Culture

    Our friendly team comprises of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Nurses ,1 Nursing Assistants, and a full team of Receptionists. None of us could do our jobs properly without each other We are a very encouraging team who are always willing to step in and work together in times of need and we work hard to provide the highest standards in client and animal care. Our team of Vets and Nurses will always talk through all options of care with our clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices, and we work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.

    We are lucky enough to have access and utilise The IVC Evidensia Care Fund which is a group-wide initiative, providing vital financial assistance to owners. The fund can be accessed to support the treatment of animals with a good prognosis, but where the cost of treatment is out of reach.
    As a practice we work closely with a variety of local charities, we have particularly close connections with our local Cats Protection League.



    Applicant Requirements

    We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who has confidence in their abilities. You will be working alongside a Head Nurse, 3 RVN's, experienced Vets and friendly Reception/support staff. We are looking for someone with good communication skills and a genuine passion for their job as these shines through. It would be beneficial if you were a Clinical Coach, but this is not essential. We can support candidates through future career development with our various Academy's and opportunities
