SEN Behaviour Support Mentor

Hours:
Monday to Friday (8:30am to 15:30pm)

Contract:
Temporary (opportunity to go permanent)

Teaching Personnel are loooking for Behaviour Support Mentors for a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school located in Lichfield, committed to providing exceptional education and support to their students.

The school is dedicated to nurturing the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils facing various behavioral challenges. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Support Mentor to join the team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with small classes of approximately 8 pupils, providing individualized support and assistance to both students and teachers.

The role requires strong competency in behavior management techniques, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children overcome obstacles to their learning and development.

Provide one-on-one support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teaching staff as necessary.
Utilize a range of behavior management techniques and interventions to support students in managing their emotions and behaviors.
Support students in developing their social skills and emotional regulation strategies.
Previous experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties is desirable.
Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting students.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
Obtain an enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
