Description

Teaching Assistant - XS10.4 (Grade 5) or XS10.5 (Grade 3) depending on experience

Following the promotion of a member of our team to an HLTA position within our school, Highcliffe St Mark Primary School has a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant.

Do you have enthusiasm and a passion for supporting children with their learning?

We are looking for someone to:

  • be proactive
  • we want you to think on your feet, take direction but also to be independent and take an active role in the life of the school.
- promote independence and child initiated learning - we don't want our children to become dependent on adults - you would be there to offer support and guidance but not to do it for them.
- be able to quickly grasp the expectations of the national curriculum and have a good understanding of how young children learn.

We can offer you:
- an opportunity to gain a funded NVQ qualification.
- additional, on the job, training from experienced colleagues
- a friendly, supportive staff team.
- a place to work where your wellbeing is given high priority.

Experience is desirable, however, for the right person, training can be provided.

If you are looking to begin a teacher training degree, this could be a great opportunity to gain useful experience.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert.

The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
