We are working with an established CNC company based in Hyde.

They are recruiting for a Tool Maker to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) in return for a salary of up to £36,000.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Repair and maintain press tools, die repairs
• Routine servicing and regrinding of tools
• Following engineered drawings to mark out tool components.
• Using traditional lathes and milling machines to cut and shape parts
• Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production
• Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in press or must be removed to Tool Room for essential maintenance and repair work
• Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales
• Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage
• Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Applicants ideally will have completed a level 3 toolmaking/engineering-based apprenticeship and have at least 5 years' experience working within a toolmaking role
