Wet Etching EngineerThe semiconductor startup is seeking an experienced Wet Etching Engineer to join their R&D team. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing wet etching processes for cutting-edge semiconductor devices.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop wet etching processes for various semiconductor materials (e.g., silicon, compound semiconductors, metals)Characterize and analyze etched surfaces using techniques such as SEM, AFM, and surface profilometryOptimize etch rates, selectivity, uniformity, and anisotropy of wet etching processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (process integration, device engineers, etc.) to integrate wet etching processes into overall device fabrication flowsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to wet etching processesMaintain detailed documentation of process flows, experimental data, and resultsStay up-to-date with the latest wet etching techniques and industry trendsRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field3+ years of experience in wet etching processes for semiconductor manufacturingStrong understanding of wet chemical processes, etch chemistries, and reaction kineticsHands-on experience with wet benches, etch tools, and analytical characterization techniquesExcellent problem-solving, data analysis, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a team environment and communicate effectivelyAttention to detail and commitment to following safety protocolsPreferred QualificationsExperience with compound semiconductor materials (e.g., GaN, SiC, GaAs)Knowledge of clean room protocols and operationsFamiliarity with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC)Experience with process integration and device fabrication flowsThe company offers a competitive compensation package, opportunities for professional growth, and a dynamic work environment at the forefront of semiconductor innovation.
