Job summary:

In DHSC, we are proud of our purpose - to enable everyone to live more independent, healthier lives for longer.

To achieve this, and create a great place to work, we have four values:
we are inclusive, we constantly improve, we challenge, and we are agile. If this sounds like an environment you'd like to work in, we'd love to hear from you.

The UK has an exceptional Life Sciences sector, and its continued growth - underpinned by Government Life Sciences Vision and the UK Vision for Clinical Research Delivery - is a fundamental pillar of the UK's ambition to become a science superpower.

A key driver of this growth is clinical research, which is an essential step in developing the next generation of medicines and medical technology, harnessing the power of the UK's research infrastructure and delivering benefits to patients and the public worldwide.

The recently published O'Shaughnessy Review recommended a series of measures to reinvigorate clinical trial activity and create an environment where innovative commercial clinical trials can flourish.

The Government has accepted the recommendations and established a Commercial Clinical Trials team within the Science Research and Evidence Directorate of DHSC to ensure effective delivery.
