    We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Counselling to lead and develop this highly-regardedService.

    The Head of Counselling has a key role:
    Managing and delivering counselling service.

    The Counselling Service is a member of the Association of Christian Counsellors and adheres to their statement offaith and code of conduct.

    Lead and manage Ps & Gs Counselling Service.
    Manage Counselling Staff team.
    Take the professional lead in reviewing/updating counselling policies and practices.
    Lead and supervise the development and implementation of all operational business plans and service improvement.
    Lead on the recruitment and induction of volunteer trainee and qualified counsellors and volunteer receptionists.
    You will be responsible for the budgets for the counselling service, under the direction of the Finance Team.
    Ensure team have regular safeguarding training and all safeguarding guidelines are followed.

    With the Support of the Counselling Advisory group, ensure a pattern of review for governance, best practice, guidance and procedures.

    We are near completion of an exciting, brand-new housing support service in the Granton area of Edinburgh.

    In preparation for the tenants moving into their flats from May 2024, we are now building our team of support staff.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work with the supported individuals to make sure their move to their new homeis as positive as possible, and help them to settle into their new homes, and live happily there.

    Not only willyou be directly supporting autistic people to ensure they have a great quality of life, but you will be part ofthe team who develop this brand new service.

    Leading by example, the Team Leader will support the Area Manager in ensuring that all staff are managed andsupervised effectively and that the highest level of autism specific practice and standards are maintained.

    Youwill also manage the staff to deliver support plans to our service users and work with healthcare professionalsto ensure support plans are to the highest quality.

    The Team Leader will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, therefore, you will be able todemonstrate excellent social care project management skills and have a working knowledge of current legislationrelating to the social care sector.

    About the Role :

    We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide inspirational regional teamleadership for designated Regional and Area Associations and local volunteers.

    In this role, you will drive thedelivery of outstanding member benefits, sports, and leisure events at a local level using member insightgathered from local members.

    To help us achieve this, you will:


    • Support volunteers in delivering a regional and local programme aligned with CSSC's strategy, mission, vision,and values.
    • Use the local member insight to deliver what our members are looking for, as well as introduce them to newopportunities and activities.
    • Collaborate with the Regional Chair and volunteers to monitor progress, attend local meetings, and evaluate thedelivery of activities and events.
    • Foster effective networking and collaboration across the team, champion best practice and seek out new ideas andways of doing things.
    • Resilient and flexible with the ability to work under pressure.
    • Strong relationship-building and management skills.
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Full UK driving license (travel required).
    • Experience with building and working with high-performing teams.
    • Working knowledge of CRM and digital Event Management Systems.

    The National Training Manager works with people across Scotland to ensure that as many people as possible get theknowledge and tools they need to address mental health this includes staff within the organisation andexternally to other audiences.

    They work closely with the Fundraising, Operations, andServices teamsto develop, quality assure, manage, and deliver Mental Health courses across Scotland.

    The National Training Manager will continuously evaluate, review, and update materials to ensure that the coursesremain consistent relevant, up-to-date and evidence based to ensure the highest quality and best practice in allthat we deliver.

    They build and maintain connections with other learning providers and stakeholders to call on specific expertise asneeded, and to ensure we complement and add value to other available training.

    This includes workingcollaboratively with Mental Health UK training provided to schools through the Bloom and Your ResilienceProgrammes.

    We are looking for an individual with previous experience of developing and delivering training to a variety ofaudiences adn someone who is comfortable cultivating positive working relationships.

    The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Quality and Improvement to support the internal trainingneeds of the organisation and so some previous experience of quality assurance is desirable.
