- Plan and deliver history lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Develop engaging and differentiated lesson materials to cater to the diverse needs of students
- Assess and monitor student progress through effective formative and summative assessment strategies
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to guide their learning and growth
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the history curriculum and schemes of work
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress and achievement
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching history in a primary or secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Understanding of effective assessment strategies and data analysis
