We have an exciting opportunity arise for an EBM Operator, working on a Full Continental Shift Pattern, at our Timet Witton, Birmingham Plant.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the manufacture of Raw Materials into electrode form, ready for melting.
Transport and handle material using forklift trucks, cranes, and slinging systems, as and when required.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace at all times.
Support and contribute to the area's lean assessment process with the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques to maintain and improve the processes within the area.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities to maintain and improve 6s standards and auditing systems.

Experience and Qualification/Education Requirements

High safety focus.
Previous welding experience in a heavy engineering industry.
Ability to drive a Forklift Truck and operate crane / lifting equipment desirable (although full training will be given).
Strong emphasis on attention to detail.
High level of selfmotivation.
Ability to work under mínimal supervision.
Work in a team environment towards business goals and objectives.
A good standard of numeracy and literacy skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
