    Castle Hill High School is a special school for students, aged 11 – 18, with significantand complex needs.We currently have 340 students on roll. Ourmost recent Ofsted inspection judged the school to be Outstanding. All students enjoy equality of opportunity, regardless of gender, race, ability, social background etc.

    All students at Castle Hill have Education Health and Care Plans. Students' specific needs include communication and social interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.

    We are seeking to appoint a talented and conscientious class teacher to work within our ASC Hub provision. The Hub is a learning environment for pupils with a complex presentation of ASC (and associated disorders) and complex learning difficulties, who require a high level of support and benefit from accessing an individualised curriculum that prioritises the development of communication, social and independence skills. Pupils within the Hub have a range of complex communication needs and function at a range of levels. Most however work at pre-KS1.

    The successful candidate will:

    ·Be a passionate teacher with energy, vision and a proven track record of raising standards and providing high quality learning opportunities for all children.

    ·Have a commitment to developing the curriculum and working effectively within a team.

    ·Promote a broad and balanced education which furthers the inclusive character of our school.

    ·Have strong ICT skills and individual talent to enhance the work of the whole school.

    ·Be able to inspire children and maximise progress with exciting teaching, as well as being a good communicator with a flexible 'can do' approach.

    ·Be confident in using their initiative when responding to the unpredictable nature of pupils with SEND.

    ·Believe that every child does matter and have high expectations for all our children.

    ·Have excellent organisational skills and enjoy a challenge.

    ·Be able to maintain good relationships with parents and multi-agencies.

    ·Be willing to contribute fully to the life of the school.
