- To create a supportive environment in which participants may improve their skills and enjoy swimming.
- To be aware of any medical, psychological or special needs of the participants.
- To be responsible for the Health & Safety of course participants.
- To set up, care for and put away course equipment.
- To plan, monitor and evaluate all sessions, keeping a register of attendance and accurate records of participants' progress.
- To be responsible for the continual assessment of the course participants and the distributing of appropriate awards.
- You have a ASA / STA Swimming Teachers Certificate Level 2 (current)
- You have a RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (current) – Desirable – not essential
- You have experience in teaching children's swimming lessons at all levels
- You have a commitment to team-working and respect and consideration for the skills of others.
- You understand the need for confidentiality with a professional and caring approach to work.
- You enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment.
